Maine Bay & Berry was founded in State College, PA in August 2017. Both owners, being local to State College (one being from Winter Harbor, Maine originally), have always felt the consumer desire for the freshest seafood from New England was apparent but desperately lacking in availability. We wanted to change that! We also know that seafood isn’t everyone’s forte. Maine also provides a diverse array of land sourced products- hence the Berry in our name.
Maine Bay and Berry has partnered with more than 15 small businesses in Maine to provide our customers in Central PA with the highest quality, locally Maine-made jams, syrups, cooking sauces, nationally recognized pies, and of course Wild Maine blueberries. Let us also not forget that we also carry small craft root beer and wild blueberry soda, homemade soaps, and handmade blueberry infused dog treats for our canine companions!
Maine Bay and Berry knows the importance of supporting small businesses and strives to source all of its products from socially responsible, small business owners in the State of Maine. We continue to bring on new partnerships weekly from Maine and are always increasing our seafood and land based offerings.
Whether it is to buy some of your favorite land or sea goodies that hold a special place to you from a past trip to Maine or perhaps you want to explore the amazing products for the first time, we invite you to stop by and try some of Maine’s finest offerings.
We now have a permanent location inside The Barn at Lemont, 201 Elmwood Street, State College, PA 16801. April thru December you can also find us on Shiloh Road, we are the only place that looks like a Maine seafood shack... complete with the buoys and lobsters!
